The Polish Association of Translation Agencies (PSBT) (www.psbt.pl) established in 2001 is an industry organisation representing professional translation and localisation service providers in Poland.
PSBT promotes translation industry best practices. All PSBT members are committed to comply with the Code of Good Practice available at: www.psbt.pl, as well as PN-EN 15038 standard for translation services.
PSBT members cooperate to guarantee and maintain high standard of translation services. PSBT aims to develop, promote and popularise the idea and practice of professional translation services, as well as to promote the professional code of conduct among translators and translation agencies.
KMK joined PSBT in 2003. The President of KMK, Elżbieta Pląskowska, was recently elected Vice President and Member of PSBT Executive Board for another term.
PSBT is a member of the following international organizations: EUATC, OASIS, LISA and tekom.
EUATC – The European Union of Associations of Translation Companies – unites national associations of translation companies throughout Europe. EUTAC was established to promote and maintain the highest quality standards of translation services, as well as to share business experience and practice. EUATC contributed to the development of EN 15038 European standard for quality assurance in translation services. It holds translation conferences addressed to all entities operating in the market of translation services throughout Europe.
OASIS – Organization for the Advancement of Structured Information Standards is a not-for-profit consortium that deals with the development, convergence and adoption of e-business standards and network standards. OASIS was founded in 1993. It has more than 5,000 participants representing over 600 organizations and individual members in 100 countries. As an active PSBT member, KMK joined OASIS in 2009.
